How do I draw  ‘Dogleg Stairs” ???

  • #3506 Reply

    Hello John,
thank you for posting this question on Architect 3D support webpage.

The stairs in Architect 3D are created starting by the middle line, that can be straight, “L” or “C” shaped (for winding stairs), curved, almost circular (for spiral stairs), etc. There isn’t direct option to place dogleg stairs case.

You can draw the middle line with the stairs tools or use the shapes in the Detail tab > Convert To > Stairs.

It is important to perform an accurate calculation of the stairs in order to avoid surprises.

Select Straight Stairway tool from the Floor plan and fulfil or leave default the properties on the side.
Then click to give starting point or the stair case, give it direction and click again to set turning point, after half of the steps click again to turn to the same rotation direction until steps reach the height limit. Increase the height and adjust the steps height and depth to fit the desired dogleg stair case.

    Kind regards,
    Architect 3D Support team
